My name is Adeola Azeez. I am a professional banker with over 30 years’ experience in business governance, development, negotiations, risk management and financial crime compliance, with special focus on managing strategic projects and key stakeholders in governments and financial institutions in West Africa.
One of the findings from the constituency-wide research I conducted was the need to engage young people in our communities.
I believe strongly that our women need all the support that they can get to actualise their full potential. As a staunch advocate for women, I know that women’s economic empowerment is key in improving the fortunes of any community.
I have visited several primary healthcare centres in my constituency and many are in a deplorable state. There is a dire need for access to timely, quality and affordable healthcare as one of the needs of the people.
Infrastructural development is an integral aspect of economic growth. Our communities are largely agrarian and our people thus need good roads, for instance, to be able to get their produce to the market.
I have had extensive private sector experience with several achievements recorded in every position I have occupied. I believe in hard work and efficiency, and I believe in accountability.
The covid pandemic severely impacted the global and national economy. The effects are even more apparent in smaller communities like those which mostly make up my constituency.
